A Stick

So a few months ago me and Julie went to see Paramore in concert. It was a fist bumping good time. Julie mentioned we should see Eclipse, the midnight showing, opening night. So months go by and it was 3 days before and Julie reminded we were going. I was excited and embarrased I was excited to go see a twilight movie. Julie had to deal with my T minus and the hours til the showing for like 28 hours. People watching madeit worth being up so late. I am getting old cause midnight is now late. Before the movie started Corey, Julie, and I were telling jokes and enjoying the sights of middle aged women, teenager, and boys in glitter uniting for the cause of seeing an actor with his shirt off. Julie's random screams in the movie gave me the giggles. Overall good movie and I am glad I went. But now I am at work with less that 4 hours of sleep and laughing at the "good quality jokes" told the night before. So whats brown and sticky......... a stick. Thanks for that. Amen

weekend of good times

This has been a very packed weekend. I started it with taking a section of the CPA exam.akdfhalsdjf hadkf adf hajkh to that. I don't know how I did but hope I did well. After that my mom came over and we painted part of my condo. I tried really hard not to paint Lucy. My mom wouldn't appreciate that. Friday night I went out with Jaymee, Larry, and Von. Out of no where last call was being announced. Wait what...last call really its that late. mmmmm bar nachos. Yes nachos have now made it to two blog postings. Okay so saturday morning rolls around and I went on the pipeline hike up Mill Creek. Staying out til 2 am and then going hiking don't mix but it was a nice reminder of that I need to get in shape. It was nice to hang out with the Marlatt's and Struck's on the hike. After the hike I went to get my mom and sister a mother's day gift. Gateway was packed and why does my Mom and Kari's favorite store have to be Brighton jewlery.....really...get a grip. Now onto sunday, I actually made it to early service and only went cause Taylor was playing the bells. Nanny had everyone over for dinner. mmmmmmmmm hotdogs. I normally don't eat meat but I don't really consider hot dogs actual meat of animals. It has been a busy weekend but totally fun. Now off to laundry and cleaning the floors. Amen

Lucy says.....

For my birthday Emily, Julia, and I went to wendover. It was a good time from the get go. Emily brought her uke, Drake. I was serenaded by Madonna songs on the drive out. Then I made Emily and Julia go to the liquor store. They didn't get anything cause one has a plum and the other works at the Church office building. The hotel was being remodeled and our room was in the new section. The art was great. The pictures were of old Greek times and there are evil demon baby statues. There is even a duck statue that looks like it is throwing up. I have included pictures of the pictures to show I am not going nuts. Seriously hotels need to get a grip on decorating. It was a good bday. I didn't win my millions but I broke even so that is something. Amen.

Easter Time

Easter was fun this year, really fun. I helped with a kid thing at church on saturday. The best part was racing Matt in the jumpy obtical course. I lost but still fun. I went over to my mom's house to decorate cookies. There were so many. I started to run out of ideas and did a blue smiley face. Mom called it lazy, I called it hilarious. Haley, Whitney's half sister, joined us this holiday. Nothing like having a 4 year old around asking why to everything!!!!! Haley also told me she was sorry my voice ran away (I had a cold and no voice). To feel better I took the crown out of Haley's easter basket and wore it all day. She didn't mind. And I am the best aunt ever cause the kids easter baskets, from me, had red bull in it. That right red bull. The rest of the world gives candy. I am going to call the sugar induced coma holiday for what its worth and get to the point, red bull! Amen.

I heart Cindi

Today was a good day. Its thursday and I don't have to work tomorrow and spent part of the day training so it was a good work day. After that me and my mom went to Italian Village for dinner. mmmmmmmmmmm pizza. Then we headed over to Cottonwood High school to see Cindi sing with her church choir. I haven't been in the auditorium of cottonwood for 10 years. Seriously 10 years and the last time I was there I was graduating. Okay back to Cindi, she is my mom's visiting teacher and is a cool lady. So her church got together to do a performance for Easter. It was cool. Cindi had a bunch of solos. She can sing, I want to vote for her for American Idol. The choir even sang the cool hallelujah song, you know the song king of king song that is a cool sounding song and is probably really hard to sing correctly. Sigh no one clapped til the whole performance was over, that is every song was finished and then one applause. I mean come on they just sang a song that most of us couldn't sing if we practiced for the rest of our lives and we all waited til the end to clap. So next time you hear someone sing a cool song or do a cool performance of something clap. Amen

Nachos

Nachos will be the death of me. I have been obsessed with nachos for the past two weeks. I crave them all the time. I have indulged a few times. Me and my mom made the best nachos of all time yesterday. The nachos were double layered, had day old taco meet, mucho cheese, onions, tomatos, and topped with avacados. They were delicious. I even took a picture to send to Jaymee. I know she appreciates good nachos. Thats all I wanted to cover today was nachos. Amen.

I love Lucy

This is going to be a loaded post so try and keep up. Around 3 years ago my dad was told he has kidney failure. The worries, the questions, the blood test, and dialysis start. It was a learning expiernce. Then Jim came into our lives. Jim is a guy in his 30's who is a husband and a pee wee hockey coach. He decides he has 2 kidneys and can live a good life with one. So Jim became my hero and my dad got a new kidney. Forward to a year and a half later and for some reason the kidney has too much strain and we are back to square one of the worried, the questions, the blood test, and dialysis. We (my parents) have the cutest damn dog ever. He is Milo. He is like the 4th child and the whole family is in love with him. We baby him and fight over him. Jake hid the dog in the basement and held him ransom for 50 thousand dollars. Milo barked and my mom opened the door. Ransom FAIL. So a normal thursday night turns wierd, Milo gets out of the garage. We almost have him back and he chaces a car. Thats right a 9 pound dog chased a damn car. The car won and all of our hearts are broken into a billion pieces. We love Milo and it hurts sooooo bad. So now the family has a broken heart and a broken kidney. A week later here comes Lucy, another maltese. We are warry to bring her home. Will this help Dad's moral, the family's moral, is it too soon? So now there is this dog she weighs like a pound and a half and has melted the broken pieces of a family's heart. I love Lucy, she has helped moral and has made it so we can talk about Milo and not cry, okay we still cry but now there is laughter and tears about what Milo brought to us. I love Lucy. Amen
